De La Salle Catholic College, Revesby
De La Salle College is a large, established Catholic school at Revesby. The existing multi-purpose sports and performance hall was built around 1950 and had outlived its usefulness. A new solution was needed. The catch? A live site and a low budget.
The Client’s main objectives:
- A flexible multi-purpose large space to enhance their sporting, teaching and events
- A facility to act as a heart for the campus, a place for the school to gather and enables best practise learning to occur

A thoroughly strategic approach with extremely diligent planning and implementation and active engagement during the construction phase.
Active involvement in the finalisation of the design process, and supervision of a carefully planned management process allowed us to preserve the design integrity whilst achieving cost savings.
Outcomes delivered
- Through a clever design solution, on a very low budget, a new state-of-the-art sports and performance hall was delivered.
- The completed facility provides a flexible sports and performance area, new learning spaces, hospitality facilities and gymnasium.
- Our process of active involvement in the finalisation of the design, and our engagement with the builders, enabled this very high-quality outcome to be achieved.
- Designed by DWP Architects and built by COWYN Building Group the attention to detail was recognised when the project won the Master Builders Association Excellence in Construction Award in the category of Private Schools $5-$10M in 2019.
